Loans Winnipeg is an information and referral service. We do not lend, we have no staffed office in Winnipeg or anywhere else in Manitoba, and nothing on this site is advice about your own situation.
Information, not advice
The pages explain how payday and installment loans work under Manitoba and federal rules and where the legal limits sit, and that is all they do. They do not know your take home pay, the rent on your apartment in the West End or what your last Hydro bill came to, so they cannot tell you whether to borrow, which loan to choose or how much. A non-profit credit counsellor in Winnipeg can go through the whole picture with you at no cost, and the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada publishes plain guidance on the alternatives.

Where the figures come from
Every dollar figure on this site is a legal ceiling or a worked example at that ceiling: the $14 per $100 cap on the payday fee, the Manitoba limits of $1500 and 62 days on the loan, the 30% of net pay limit, the 5% ceiling on renewals and repeat loans, and the federal criminal rate of 35% as the top of installment lending. A lender's offer can come in under a cap, and its disclosure is the figure you sign.
Winnipeg detail stays descriptive. We name the rivers, the transit routes, the hospitals and the neighbourhoods, never a lender, an address or a number we cannot source.

The lender sets approval and terms
Approval, the amount, the fee or APR, the due date and every other term of a loan are decided by the licensed lender, not by this site, and no lender in Canada can promise approval before it has seen your income. Read the agreement before you sign and check that it shows the lender's name, the cost in dollars and, for a payday loan, your right to cancel at no cost within 48 hours, Sundays and holidays not counted.
No promise of accuracy or availability
We work to keep each page current, but laws and products change and a page can fall behind. We make no promise that the site, the platform or a lender will be available when you need them, or that a figure here still matches a lender's latest disclosure. The terms of use set out the limits on liability, the about page explains who runs the site, and the FAQ answers the questions Winnipeg readers ask most.
